He has the empathy to see other people's needs. He has the compassion to help and the strength to contribute in a meaningful way. He is curious, so while he is helping someone, he sees others in need. He has the energy to chase those problems as well. His approach is pragmatic and thoughtful.

I always trust Don to be thoughtful and forthright. We need more community members and leaders like him.

I’ve seen firsthand the way Don approaches his work as a councilor and his volunteering, and I’ve been deeply impressed by the way he listens, by the way he thinks the details through from all sides and angles, and by his above-and-beyond dedication to doing the right thing. I absolutely trust his integrity and his intentions; I trust that he will always put the best interests of Golden, and of Golden’s residents, first.

As a city councilor, Don has demonstrated his talent for looking toward the horizon while studying the details of local issues and listening to others while formulating solutions.  His regular newsletters sent to both his ward constituents and a greater audience illustrate these skills.  Don should continue to be a key part of Golden’s governance as a member of City Council.

Golden needs leaders who will balance progress with preservation, and who will work transparently and inclusively. Don Cameron is exactly that kind of leader. I wholeheartedly support him and encourage others to do the same.

…when we disagree, he's transparent about his thinking and his reasoning, he's open to discussion, and he is clearly willing to shift his views on issues as he learns more and hears from other perspectives. Even when he ultimately takes a position that's different than mine, I respect where he lands because I know he's being thoughtful and taking his role seriously.
