How do you know what is going on?

I ran for council, as you know, because I have been engaged on many issues in Golden and wanted to make an impact on keeping development in character within our town. But not everyone even knows what is going on in town to know when to speak up, or reach out to a councilor. Here are links to signups for the ways I keep in touch.

  1. Golden Today - a daily email from Barb Warden with events and usually a history story.

  2. Golden Transcript - local newspaper on newsprint to which we subscribe; and receive it most Wednesdays.

  3. Golden Weekly Digest - a city email once a week from staff about upcoming events/agendas.

  4. The Golden Informer - a monthly glossy magazine from city staff and council

  5. Guiding Golden - often linked in the Golden Weekly Digest, this is where the city seeks comment on their initiatives, such as Zoning, Heart of Golden 2020, JEDI issues, etc. If the lingo here is unrecognizable…that is certainly part of the problem. Look on top right of page if not already signed up.

I would highly recommend you subscribe to all of these information sources. All are free except for the Golden Transcript, do not come too often, and don’t have the social media vitriol that is all too common on some platforms.
