Why do people hate?

As seen in Golden near Johnson Road and 10th Ave.

I saw this Wyoming plated vehicle, with an “ONLY GAY COPS PULL ME OVER” window sticker. What message are they trying to send? It seems pejorative, and aggressive. If a non-gay cop did pull them over, would they take this as an attack on their manhood (or sexual orientation if a female cop)? That would seem to be the point. Any other interpretation would be a stretch in credulity. The fact that it is a Wyoming license plate is probably why I took the picture and am disgusted. I am well aware of Mathew Shepard’s death in Wyoming, as should be every other informed citizen. He was a slightly built young gay man, left to die by the side of a highway in Wyoming, after being attacked for being just who he was. Why does a person’s sexual orientation, or even sexual identity affect another person personally? Religious arguments fall flat with me as if God doesn’t create man in his own image… but only sometimes? And the number of animals that have “gay sex” is now quite high, but not without its controversies and nuance. Still, I suspect while people may try to rationalize a reason to be anti-gay, it strikes me as simply emotional and an offense to their sanctity/or a degradation as from these pillars of morality. I believe people have the right to have different views, and espouse them, but I also don’t think advocating for violence is a way to solve many problems. Granted, the window sticker doesn’t do so, but is it a backwards way of saying they condone the violence done to Mathew Shepard? If, by chance the owner of this vehicle comes across this blog post, tell me why you hate!
