““The City Manager’s Office provides professional leadership in the administration and execution of policies and objectives formulated by City Council.”  In other words, Council provides the vision for how Golden should look, feel and operate, for implementation by city staff.  In this regard, City Council, our elected officials, represent the closest connection to the will of citizens and their needs. 

 Growth, and all its associated issues, continues to be the singular issue that Golden must come to grips with going forward, as Golden’s population approaches the City’s “carrying capacity”.  Growth-how much, what kind and where?  Environmental and economic sustainability and affordable housing. 

 These significant issues require independent, smart and deliberative councilors- capable of getting to the heart a matter, with the courage to advocate for the right path.  Don Cameron knows the importance of addressing these issues, demonstrated by his leadership on citizen advisory boards and other organizations.  He commits his time and is a good listener.  That is why I endorse Don Cameron for Ward 3 City Councilor. “ Approved 6/1/2025
